About the Role:

Gibson Shipbrokers is seeking a dynamic Part-Time Marketing Manager to join our team in London, on a part-time basis (2 days per week, onsite). This role presents a unique opportunity to drive our marketing initiatives within the shipbroking industry, promoting our brand and expanding our market presence.

Responsibilities:

Brand Promotion: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the Gibson Shipbroking brand globally. Utilise various channels, including but not limited to, LinkedIn, industry panels, and conferences. Collaborate with industry press on coordinating company news/updates.

Marketing Materials: Manage all marketing materials (brochures, merchandise), produce website content, production of news stories/features.

LinkedIn Management: Craft compelling and relevant content for our LinkedIn page to showcase our company's extensive experience, highlight industry insights, and engage with our audience effectively. Monitor engagement metrics and adjust content strategies as needed to optimise performance.

Industry Engagement: Identify key industry panels, conferences, and events relevant to shipbroking globally. Coordinate our participation in these events, including speaker opportunities, sponsorships, and networking activities to increase our visibility and establish thought leadership.

Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform our marketing strategies and ensure alignment with market needs and preferences.

• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including brokers, operations, and management, to align marketing efforts with business objectives and support overall company goals.

• Events: Attend and manage events as necessary.

• Podcast Co-ordination: Responsible for co-ordinating in-house podcast production.

Skills required to succeed:

• Proven experience in marketing within the maritime industry.

• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including social media management and content creation.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling marketing messages.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.

• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Proactive attitude with a passion for innovation and driving results.
